Mars aims to renew the RPG gaming experience with more intuitive, faster and more gratifying action phases, while at the same time keeping the specific main features of the genre. The idea is to blend two genres, Beat’em all Action and RPG, combining character progression, immersion, equipment collection, additional quests and a solid storyline with rhythmic combat sequences, a sense of power from the beginning of the game and of course QTE and bosses with sequential behaviour.
Fight Night Round 4 Preview (360/PS3)
Three years after Fight Night Round 3’s release and the reigning champ of boxing games still looks damn sexy in 1080p. As one of the first titles to take advantage of next-gen horsepower, the title transcended the regular boxing game, becoming a must have for folks that love to show off their high-end home theaters.
Midnight Club: Los Angles DLC now available
Rockstar makes some of the most popular video games available with titles like Grand Theft Auto and more. One of the long running franchises for the studio has been the Midnight Club series. The latest title in the franchise is Midnight Club: LA and Rockstar have been talking about new DLC content coming for the game for a while.
Rockstar has announced that the anticipated South Central Map Expansion and South Central Premium Upgrade are both now available on the PS3 and Xbox. The map expansion is a free update that adds four new neighborhoods to the game.
The premium upgrade adds the new neighborhoods along with nine new cars, 26 new races, 12 battle maps, 10 delivery missions, and over 100 new red light races. Judging from the fact that the premium pack selling for $9.99 for the PS3 and 800 MS Points on the Xbox has the races, the free expansion must just give you more room to drive with no available events.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 revealed for the PS3
Even after being partially published by Microsoft, Tecmo has announced that the formerly Xbox 360-exclusive Ninja Gaiden II will be released on the PlayStation 3 this Fall as Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
Like the first Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Sigma 2 will be an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden II that will contain a bunch of extras. These extras will include new weapons (apparently a giant hammer called Genma), new boss battles and the ability to play as Ayane from the Dead or Alive series (Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive share the same universe).
Mass Effect 2 Coming to Xbox 360, Windows in "Early 2010"
A lot of you really, truly dug Bioware's Mass Effect. I didn't. That is, I didn't dig it as enthusiastically. In fact I scored it 60 points on PC World's 100 point scale, which translates as "slightly better than average." Not a bad score. Certainly not a negative review. Regardless, it incited 1,823 "no" votes against just 202 "yes" votes in our admittedly easily skewed thumbs-up-or-down recommendation system.
Guitar Hero: Metallica Demo Impressions
Xbox 360 E74 Hardware Failures are on the Rise and Full of Fail
The E74 error is caused when the "ANA" image scaler chip fails, overheats or there is serious AV connection problem. The hot air flow from the CPU and GPU goes right over the location of the ANA chip so it might be slowly cooked by normal use.
An Xbox 360 that is suffering an E74 error will have the lower-right quadrant of the Ring of Light flash on the front on the console and a multiple languages error message may display that will read "E74. System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support." or the screen will simply glitch out and display a feild of video snow.
Sony Charging Publishers for Free Downloads
Sony has instituted a "PlayStation Network Bandwidth Fee" that requires publishers to pay for each gigabyte used in downloading PlayStation 3 content from the online PlayStation Store, reports MTV Multiplayer.
Publishers were previously able to release PS3 DLC without incurring any bandwidth fees. Microsoft does not charge bandwidth fees for Xbox 360 DLC, claims the site.
The new policy went into effect on October 1, 2008, and charges publishers 16 cents for each gigabyte of bandwidth used. Bandwidth utilized by free content is only billed for the first 60 days, while premium content racks up charges until it's removed from the store.

Police create wanted poster on Nintendo Wii
Rather than commissioning an artist or employing photofit software, officers put together a caricature of the man they want to trace using a tool intended for gamers to create their own characters.
The popular console's "Mii" feature allows users to devise personalised avatars by selecting from a range of different face shapes, hairstyles, eyes, ears and other features. Players can also fine-tune their characters' clothing, size and expressions.

Wallace & Gromit Coming to XBLA
Telltale Games is planning a push onto Xbox Live Arcade, and the developer has chosen its upcoming episodic series Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures to lead the way.
The title was previously announced for PC, but Telltale is now planning an XBLA version that will have an Xbox 360-specific control scheme but the same story, characters and gameplay as the PC version. Both will be released this spring.
LEGO Battles Erupt on DS
Traveller's Tales and The LEGO Group have been cranking out successful LEGO games based on well-known properties for a few years now. Today the two companies, along with Warner Bros., announced the next Nintendo DS LEGO game, but apparently won't be licensed. Titled LEGO Battles, it will be built with pieces of the LEGO Castle, LEGO Pirates, and LEGO Space themes. It's being developed by Hellbent Games, whose only credit seems to be the Xbox 360 version of Supreme Commander.
Players will be building their own LEGO bases in battles that span 70 levels and six storylines. The pirates, wizards, aliens, ninja, and dragons that populate these universes will all be fighting with and alongside each other. Multiplayer skirmishes will also be available.
LEGO Battles will be released this summer.

February Releases (Xbox 360)
As January ends, there will be new things to look forward to in the month ahead. February will not only be the month of broken hearts and the first trailer of Transformers sequel, but it will also be the month that the following games are released for the lovers of the 360:
3 on 3 NHL Arcade
Release date: 2/11/09
With fast paced action, crushing hits and loads of room to experiment, 3 on 3 NHL Arcade will have gamers from all walks of life excited about hockey. With no rules to hinder the action, deliver devastating checks that send your opponent over the boards and watch as he has to skate back onto the ice. If the goalie comes out of his crease to play the puck, check him. Exaggerated player-looks take center stage with 40 of the top NHL stars, representing every team, skating around the miniature rink. With game-changing power-ups falling on the ice throughout each session, serious is not the name of this game. Fly down the ice with a super-speed skater, and beat a giant sprawling goalie with a trick move for that highlight reel finish. With two control schemes to choose from, players can pick between button controls that allow gamers of all skill levels to pass, shoot, hit and break out the all-new trick moves with ease, or the more advanced Skill Stick controls from NHL 09. 3 on 3 NHL Arcade also brings the online experience players have come to expect from EA SPORTS.
Predictions: Bobble headed people in bright colors beating the crap out of each other with sticks on ice in order to get a white puck in a net...that's...interesting... A fun looking game for the XBLA
Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection
Release date: 2/10/09
Developed by Backbone Entertainment, Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection contains over 40 classic SEGA games in one package; making it the largest collection of SEGA first party games ever offered. Featured games include Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 and 3, Columns, Ecco the Dolphin, Shinobi III, Space Harrier, and fan favorite Streets of Rage. The games in the collection have been reproduced with the utmost detail and accuracy to the original games. In addition, Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection can output the games in 720p with higher resolution graphics for HD televisions, bringing a new visual richness to playing these classic titles.
Prediction:WTF Sega? Your major fans (like...ME) are getting, quite frankly, annoyed with the re-releasing. Yes, these games were fun and we loved them. But try making some of your greater series enter the 3-D realm (like Streets of Rage). Let this be the last time Sega and let there be downloadable content. Oh, by the way, what is the point of the XBLA again?
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
Release date: 2/10/2009
The second heart-stopping shooter by Monolith (after F.E.A.R.) continues the spine-tingling supernatural suspense story of an escalating paranormal crisis that threatens to destroy a major American city. At the center of the calamity is the mysterious Alma, whose rage against those who wronged her triggered a chain of events that has spiraled completely out of control. Now that she has been loosed upon the world, the consequences will be unimaginable.
Although this game is technically a follow-up to F.E.A.R., the game will not carry the F.E.A.R. franchise name due to a shift in publishers -- instead, it will feature a new name for its frights. This next-gen entry is being developed separately yet concurrently with its PC twin of terror.
Prediction: Hmm...the original was good...this seems to have the potential be a great game. Hopefully it doesn't suffer from sequel-itis.
R-Type Dimensions
Release Date: 2/4/09
R-Type Dimensions combines the genre-defining coin-op classics “R-Type” and “R-Type II,” with a twist. For the first time ever, R-Type Dimensions allows multiplayer co-op play locally or over Xbox LIVE for up to two players. Gamers fight through all 14 Bydo-infested stages in the original 2-D or all-new 3-D graphics, and can swap between the two seamlessly.
Prediction: A throwback game fueled by nostalgia...it'll be fun if you feel like downloading it and even better with a friend. Your quarters will thank you. Download it
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel
Release Date: 2/17/09
In Sacred 2: Fallen Angel you assume the role of a character and delve into a thrilling story full of side quests and secrets that you will have to unravel. Breathtaking combat arts and sophisticated spells are waiting to be learnt. A multitude of weapons and items will be available and it is your choice, which of your character's attributes you will enhance with these items in order to create a unique and distinct hero.
Prediction: Most likely all people who would want this game already bought the PC version. Newcomers won't have a reason to buy or probably would get World of Warcraft before then. And most likely, people will save their money to buy the following game instead:
Street Fighter IV
Release Date: 2/17/09
Street Fighter IV brings the legendary fighting series back to its roots by taking the beloved fighting moves and techniques of the original Street Fighter II, and infusing them with Capcom's latest advancements in next generation technology to create a truly extraordinary experience that will re-introduce the world to the time-honored art of virtual martial arts.
Prediction: As if we didn't have enough fighters out already (Brawl, Soul Calibur, MK vs. DC, etc.), another one comes right around the corner. there are plenty of reasons why this game should be waited upon before people buy it, but that won't stop the masses from staying up until midnight to buy this game. I have a feeling it will be disappointing to awaiting fans but a bad game, it will not be.
Race Pro
Release Date: 2/17/09
RACE Pro recreates a breathtaking reality giving gamers the ultimate racing simulation experience, all powered by Lizard, SimBin's own physics engine. With precision physics and handling, racers will feel every bend and burst of acceleration along with every emotion from pre-race tension in the pit lanes to the exhilaration of capturing the checker flag. RACE Pro provides unrivalled realism and deep immersion into the racing world through ultra realistic car models and official FIA championships and tracks. RACE Pro has something for everyone, allowing players of all levels to pick up and play, while offering challenging tracks and advanced modes for the more experienced players.\
Prediction: It's probably a great racing game and all...but most likely driving fans already have Forza or Burnout. It probably won't be bad, but will people have an incentive to buy it?
Star Ocean: The Last Hope

The year is S.D. 10; in the aftermath of World War III, humanity voyages into the stars in search of a new home...and a second chance.
Prediction: Star Ocean fans will probably love it, RPG fans will probably look into it for want of a good game. My question is...why not for PS3 as well?
The Godfather II
Release date: 2/24/09
Inspired by the film and Mario Puzo’s Corleone family drama, The Godfather II game goes beyond the film’s story by setting players in the world of organized crime in 1960’s Florida, Cuba and New York. After being promoted by Michael Corleone to Don of New York, players expand to new cities, as they build up their families through extorting businesses, monopolizing illegal crime rings and defeating new families in an effort to become the most powerful mob family in America. To help players manage their empire, The Godfather II introduces “The Don’s View” – an innovative strategy meta-game that allows players to oversee the entire world as they grow the family business. Using the Don’s View, players will be able to build, defend and expand their crime rings, while keeping an eye on the movements and plans of the rival families. Players will also learn to master the business of organized crime by building a family of Made Men, hiring crew, handing out orders, and promoting their best men up the ranks.
Set in a stunning open-world environment, The Godfather II expands on the popular gameplay mechanics of the first game and doubles down on the series’ signature BlackHand control scheme, which now features even more visceral hand-to-hand brutality at your fingertips, introducing a new combo system, pressure tactics and executions. In The Godfather II, players will fight alongside their hand-picked crew, who have their own skills and expertise. Each family member specializes in a specific field such as demolitions, arson, engineering, first-aid and more. As The Don you control the family, sending some of your men on missions while heading off into action with others. The combination of strategic organized crime gameplay and brutal BlackHand action sets The Godfather II apart from other open-world games.
Prediction: Movie based games are RARELY a good sign...fans will probably buy it, everyone else...proceed with caution

The story unfolds revealing demonic powers and spectacular landscapes, all ripe for exploration and battles. X-Blades features a special combination of cinematic style, stunning animation, and relentless, high speed gameplay.
Prediction: Hmm...the game LOOKS good...the protagonist LOOKS nice and SOUNDS nice...but does it play well? I hope it does, I have high hopes for this game.
Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3: Senior Year
Release Date: 2/17/09

Players can perform with their friends or sing solo with the stars. Players can also select any song and difficulty level in single or multiplayer mode, which allows for teams up to 8 players.
really...this is gonna be horrible...a crappy game (10 songs?) based on a crappy movie based on a crappy series featuring crappy songs? Really, nothing musically related could make a game any worse than this. Absolutely nothing...right?
50 Cent: Blood on the Sand

Square Enix Hints at Dragon Quest IX Downloads
Dragon Quest IX may be embracing that very modern gaming feature known as "download content." In its latest update on the game over in Japan today, Square Enix provided a vague hint that players would be able to go online to expand upon the game. Details were not provided.
Downloadable quests wouldn't be too surprising a feature for DQIX. The game has a hefty quest system, with players being able to take part in optional quests apart from the typical epic RPG storyline. Additionally, Wi-Fi Connection support has always been listed as planned for the game; download content would certainly qualify as that!
60 Mbps Internet Service Revealed
The battle for the fastest commercial Internet service rages on, and it looks like Charter Communications is poised to take the heavyweight belt away from Verizon and Comcast. The company has announced their intentions to launch a new 60 Mbps service, the fastest available anywhere for US consumers.
The FiOS fiber-optic service by Verizon tops out at 50 Mbps the same as Comcast's fastest offering. No details have been released yet on price, or when or where the service will first appear. Experts believe that Charter will be using the same Docsis 3.0 technology employed by Comcast to achieve its new service speed, one that more than triples their current top Internet package of 16 Mbps.

Dead Rising, Lost Planet Sequels on the Way
It looks like PS3 owners are at long last going to get a chance to try out Dead Rising. Some unofficial reports in Japan, stemming from early magazine leaks, reveal that a new Dead Rising is on the way, and it will be multiplatform!
Joining the new Dead Rising game will be a new Lost Planet. This too will be multiplatform, although this one shouldn't be too surprising, since the first Lost Planet saw a PS3 release as well.
Namco Museum Hits PSN
Namco Museum is at long last ready to go out of beta and step out into the light as a final product. Bandai Namco announced over in Japan today that the PSN download title will be available for purchase on Thursday under the new name Namco Museum.comm (the extra "m" is for "communication" and "community"). Pricing is set at 1,200 yen.
Different from the beta version, the final product includes six games: Pac-Man, Xevious, Galaga, DigDug, Dragon Spirit, and Xevious Resurrection. That last one is a completely new title that updates the classic Xevious gameplay with modern visuals, new stages of play, and two player co-op support.
Avatars Get Soccer Jerseys

The full list of countries that got their own shirts is listed here:

Savage Moon Lands Tomorrow
Although we've seen the tower defense genre on the PlayStation Network before (in the form of PixelJunk Monsters), another promising representative of the genre is heading to Sony's download service tomorrow. On the official PlayStation Blog, Fluffy Logic Producer Ana Kronschnabi made a post today announcing that Savage Moon will be hitting the PlayStation Store tomorrow. For $9.99, you'll be able to fight off wave after wave of killer bug hordes with some slick looking military towers.

VUDU Launches iPhone App
For VUDU users convenience is key; after all, that is why they purchased a device capable of delivering thousands of movies directly to their screens instantaneously. With a solid broadband connection, the VUDU set-top box can deliver everything from full high-definition blockbusters to videos featuring a user's favorite adult entertainment stars. VUDU use is as simple as browse, select, and view, sound easy enough, right? Well, now the process is getting even easier…for iPhone or iPod touch users.
This week, VUDU released the official VUDU Movie Catalog App on the iTunes App Store. The app allows users to browse and search the entirety of the service's 13,000 titles, each complete with cover art and a full synopsis. But perusing for future viewing pleasure isn't all you can do with the VUDU Movie Catalog App, users can buy and rent movies directly through the app. Through the magic of the internet, users can have their VUDU box download all of the titles they wish to watch before they get home. The remote access feature of the VUDU Movie Catalog is ideal for those who prefer to watch movies in VUDU's proprietary HDX format, which has been billed as the highest quality digitally distributed video format available. The best part of the VUDU Movie Catalog App? It's completely free, and as you know, we are suckers for anything FREE.
More Extreme for Space Invaders
Leaks on websites such as Amazon's Japanese component are listing Space Invaders Extreme 2 for a March 2009 release. Included game descriptions that reveal new modes and boss battles indicate these retailer listings are legitimate and not just guesses.

No Elites in Halo 3: ODST
Bungie continues to dole out Halo 3: ODST information in small doses. This week, in the company's weekly update, this bit of information has been given: There are no Elites in Halo 3: ODST. That is the reason you only see Brutes in the original teaser trailer that announced the game formally.
The post further talks about the timeline of Halo events and where ODST fits in. During the thirteen days between October 20 (when New Mombasa is destroyed) and November 2 (when the Prophet of Regret is "liquidated" by Spartan-117), the High Prophet redeployed the Brute Covenant forces into New Mombasa, which is where Halo 3: ODST takes place.
New Burnout Paradise Pack Revealed
When it was released earlier last year, Burnout Paradise set a new standard of vehicular mayhem, and Criterion Games increased the car carnage by supporting the game with additional content. According to Criterion's website, on February 6, the two latest packs for the game will be released to further improve the racing (and crashing) experience. The first pack is known as the Party Pack, and will allow you and up to seven other friends to play through stunt, speed and skill challenges to see who's the best racer in your group. Stunt challenges will involve jumps and tricks, while Speed challenges have quick time trials and time tests and Skill Challenges focus on racing through oncoming traffic and drifting. The Party Pack will be a premium pack, although no price was revealed on the website.
The second pack will be free, and will feature a large number of adjustments. The first is the inclusion of a Burnout Paradise Store, which will allow players to purchase any of the upcoming content for the game without having to back out of the game itself. This will include items like the Legendary Cars or Island packs when they become available.
Vehicles will receive a significant overhaul, making the handling on the earliest cars more accessible and easier to Burnout newcomers. This means these earlier cars will be harder to crash and harder to spin out, but will operate at a slower pace. What's more, players will be able to evaluate the cars that they have in the Junkyard, making it easier to choose the right car based on its stats. Cars will also naturally right themselves in the midst of a barrel roll if you hit a split ramp. The Stunt Run Timer has been adjusted to run slower, while the difficulty of all events in the game has been modified to take the new car speeds into effect.
Road Rage has received an overhaul, removing the time that's added whenever you hit the target number of cars. That will make it much harder for people to exploit the mode to rack up larger scores. Objects that you can interact with in the Burnout world have been redesigned, so Billboards will show up as Red, Smashes will be yellow and Super Jumps will be blue. These objects will also pulse, which should help you discover where they are and take advantage of them in the game.
Finally, a long awaited change is the inclusion of restarting an event. Previously, there was no way to immediately restart a race or event, forcing you to start all over from the beginning. That could be extremely inconvenient, especially if you'd made a mistake halfway across a city spanning race. Now, you no longer have to drive all the way back to the starting location. Instead, you'll instantly warp back to the start and leap back into the race. Finally, PS3 and PC players will discover an exclusive feature: an in-game browser that is designed to bring a new feature to the game known as the Criterion Games Network, which will be explained by Criterion Games next week.

Atlus Announces Class of Heroes, Enrollment Begins in April
Atlus has some hardcore dungeon crawling on tap for PSP owners this spring, today announcing Class of Heroes. Slated for an April 7th street date, Class of Heroes is a classic style first-person RPG promising upwards of 80 hours of monster slaying, level grinding and treasure hunting through 75 labyrinthine dungeon maps. As the title suggests, the game’s main feature will be its character customization. Players will be able to develop their own heroes from 10 different races, 3 alignments, 15 “majors” (which sound like the equivalent to what most RPGs call Classes), and of course choice of gender. A robust alchemy system will also provide hours of item creation and weapon customization. Sounds like a winner to me!
Firmware Galore
There's no getting around the fact that the official PlayStation Blog is the king of firmware updates. Not only was a PSP firmware update announced yesterday on the blog, but Director of PlayStation Network Operations Eric Lempel made a post today announcing the upcoming PS3 firmware (version 2.60), which would bring some new media capabilities to Sony's system.
Lempel outlines the new features, which include guest access to the PlayStation Store and DivX 3.11 support, in the post. However, the most prominent addition is the new Photo Gallery application. A more robust program to help sort, enhance and view your photos, the Photo Gallery can even organize pictures by the relative age of the people in the photo or their expressions. We imagine that the next update will introduce Skynet into the XMB.

Mini Ninjas doesn't have a precise street date but is set for release in fall 2009 for Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Players will take on the role of Hiro, a pint-sized warrior, as he embarks on a mission to destroy a magical army of evil samurai.
DS Download Service: January 20
Since the launch of the Nintendo Channel for the Wii earlier this year, Nintendo has been providing a DS Download Service with demos of released and upcoming DS games. Wii owners can boot up the DS Download Service through the Nintendo Channel and download various playable demos directly to their Nintendo DS, using the Download Play option. It works in the same way as the in-store download stations. The third-party games get updated every week and we've got info on this week's batch to let you know a little more about what you're getting.
The week of January 20
Personal Trainer: Math Demo
If you're unsure if math can be fun on the Nintendo DS, give this demo a download: you'll take part in the game's Kageyama method in solving math problems using the touchscreen to hand write all the answers as quickly as possible.
Big Bang Mini Demo
The creators of Nervous Brickdown have just released their second Nintendo DS game, a clever, retro-style action shooter using the touchscreen for control. Download the demo to see if the game is your cup o' tea.
Personal Trainer: Cooking Mac & Cheese Demo
The Nintendo DS cookbook is now available in stores, and to give owners a little taste test (ha ha) Nintendo's thrown a freebie demo of the software up on the Nintendo Channel where you can follow along, step by step, to make some truly kick-ass lasagna.
Touchmaster 2 Demo
The Midway sequel's been on shelves for a couple of months now, and the company offers up a small taste on the Nintendo Channel for download. The sample is Dice King, a "Match Three" puzzler where you must work your way through a stack of dice linking up three or more of the same number to remove them from play.
MySims Kingdom Demo
The demo that's included for this Electronic Arts release is just a single mini-game: Vegetable Vendor. Here, you're challenged to select the three vegetables on the touch screen that the MySims character gives you as he wanders onto the top screen. Every right answer adds a few seconds to the clock, and after time runs out you're ranked on how well you performed.
Nintendo also keeps a selection of first party titles up for download. They're not cycled out as often and most of them have been there since the Nintendo Channel launched.

Pulse, Magic Ball, and Skate 2 Demo on PSN
Creat Studios' (developer of Cuboid and Mahjong Tales) Magic Ball is the other downloadable PS3 game and costs $10, half the price of this week's only downloadable game on PSP, Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins ($20). PSP owners can also look for a new demo of Buzz! Master Quiz.
New downloadable content for Brain Challenge (a $5 expansion pack adding new minigames and other features), Disgaea 3 (two new custom characters for $2 each), and Shaun White Snowboarding (the $10 "Mile High Pack" that adds new gear and a new mountain, and the aptly-named free "Freebie Pack" that adds new gear) are the only pieces of non-music game content released this week.
Just the big two music games get additions to their catalogs this week. Rock Band adds six Roy Orbison tracks ($2 each or $10 as a bundle), four Lenny Kravitz tracks ($2 each $7 as a bundle), one Megasus track ($1), and one track from Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives ($1 -- a great deal in terms of artist name length to price ratio). Guitar Hero World Tour adds three country songs ($2 each or $5.49 as a bundle) and three tracks by Travis Barker -- one of which is a remix of a Flo Rida song -- ($2 each or $5.49 as a bundle).
Rounding out the update are a load of new videos -- among them, this week's edition of Pulse -- and some new wallpapers to pretty up your console.Final Fantasy XIII Not Due in U.S. Until 2010
Those hoping to play Square Enix's next blockbuster RPG may have to wait a bit longer than expected, as a Guardian report confirms that Final Fantasy XIII won't come out until next year in the U.S. President Yoichi Wada stated the game will release in April 2010 or later in North America, well after its scheduled 2009 release in Japan. There's no reason mentioned for the long wait time between releases, but Square Enix has said that they're going to finish the PS3 version before starting on the 360, rather than developing the two at the same time. Since the 360 and PS3 versions are supposed to see a simultaneous release in North America, this could be the culprit for added development time to an already long-awaited game. Of course, the 360 version will also be developed as the game is being localized, so it's hard to tell when the game would release if not for the 360 porting process. We'll let you know a more specific drop date as soon as we hear it from Square Enix.

According to Criterion, the Party pack is an offline multiplayer "pass-the-controller" mode in which players compete in rapid fire challenges. Other improvements include a new restart option for races and "easier control of th early vehicles."
The aforementioned bit of good news for console owners in this is that the Party pack will also be available as separate DLC starting February 5. No price yet, but PlayStation 3 owners will also be receiving a "Burnout Paradise Network" in which they can keep track of friends and Burnout: Paradise news. So do you think the Party pack will be worth the eventual cash, console owners?
